Mohamud Hussein Mohamud received his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Statistics in 2017 and 2023 respectively. Mr Mohamud has four years of experience in field of statistics, he is currently a lecturer for the Faculty of Economics at SIMAD University. Abdulkadir Mohamed Abdullahi is a dedicated professional with a passion for sustainable development and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world. His career has been shaped by a strong focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), extensive research, and teaching experience at the faculty of Economics at SIMAD University.  Mr. Abdulkadir is the founder and executive director of Samale Institute. He has collaborated with governmental agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities to develop and implement sustainable development programs. His work has spanned diverse areas, including environmental conservation, poverty reduction, community empowerment, and social inclusion. He holds a Master’s Degree in sustainable development practice from the Science University of Malaysia (USM), where he developed a deep understanding of the complex challenges facing our global society. His academic journey has equipped him with the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to assess and address these issues critically.

Profile

Mr. Mahir Ahmed Hersi is a part time lecturer for Faculty of Economics at SIMAD University. He has been serving as a financial consultant at SCORE consultant firm. He holds a master’s degree in economics and finance from the International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan, and a bachelor’s degree in economics with a specialization in Economics and Finance from the same university. During the implementation of various programs, he developed data collection tools including interview guides, focus group guides, desk review tools, and observational data collection tools. He also managed the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data using NVivo for qualitative data and Stata software for quantitative data.

Mr. Mustaf Mohamed Hajji is a researcher and lecturer at the faculty of economics and Director of the Finance Division at SIMAD University. He is an experienced Accountant with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry for the past three years. His working expertise includes (but is not limited to) financial statements analysis, financial reports; Budget Analysis, and Fixed Asset Management.  Mr. Mustaf earned a Master of Development Economics from Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, Qatar in 2020. His research interests mainly focus on Development Economics, Environmental Economics, and Welfare Economics. Mr. Mustaf has published a few articles in refereed journals, while others are in process.

Mr. Abdikafi Hassan Abdi is a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, SIMAD University. He earned an MSc in Economics from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in December 2021. His teaching expertise includes (but is not limited to); Applied Macroeconomics, International Economics, and Environmental Economics. Mr. Abdi is also the Head of Research at the Institute of Climate and Environment (ICE), SIMAD University. His research interests mainly focus on Environmental Economics, Econometrics Modelling (time series and panel data), technological change and growth, sustainable development, and international trade. Up to now, Mr. Abdi has published almost ten articles in refereed journals.
