Faculty of economics was established in 2015 as standalone faculty. It grew out a department of faculty of economics and social science formed in 2011. Faculty of Economics exists to prepare qualified economists and statisticians with broad university education. It is a symbol of optimism and future prosperity of the Somalis improving economy. Faculty currently offers three programs those are, bachelor science of economics, and bachelor science of the statistics and the bachelor arts of international trade and investment. Faculty of economics takes the pride of being competitive research platform in field of economics. It has a center of the statistics and economic research which produces statistical data and the economic policy researches. Faculty of economics maintains good relationship with other faculties in overseas including those in Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia and Uganda. We also have research affiliates and the visiting professors across the world.
